The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program prepares students for entry-level employment in a long-term care facility, hospital, or other health care setting. Graduates can provide basic care to patients, observe and report problems, provide safety and preventative measures and work effectively as part of the healthcare team.
The CNA Program is a hybrid program focusing on both hands on skills in a healthcare facility and an online education delivery system.
Program Format
- This program can be adjusted to the dynamics of your institution--from an 8 week accelerated program up to 16 weeks.
- 88 hrs are required to complete the program.
- 4 course program. It can also be adjusted to a 3 course or 5 course program. It is up to the institution.
Graded Activities

Forum Discussion Board - Students are required to participate. Each section within the program includes a discussion forum.

Instructor-Led Zoom (or other video conference system) Sessions - Instructors are scheduled to performs live simulations from a healthcare setting. These simulations are recorded and made available to all students for the duration of the program.

Written Assignments - Students are required to submit reflection and essays on specific topics.

Video Recorded Assignments - Students are required to video record themselves performing specific skills and upload the video clips on to the LMS for grading.

Quizzes - A quiz will be administered at the end of each section within the course.

Hartman Skills Video Demonstrations and Reference Guide Book - Included with this program and required for each student.

Clinical Hours - Students are required to complete clinical hours in a healthcare facility and complete/upload the appropiate forms.
